An announcement this Wednesday stated that two Portland Trail-Blazers players LaMarcus Aldridge (Point Guard) and Damian Lillard (Power Forward) are to be named as members of the All-NBA Team, an honor bestowed to the best NBA players of every season.
A panel of sportswriters and sport broadcasters vote players 15 players into the three five-man lineups, and both Lillard and Aldridge were added to the third All-NBA team this time around.
This is Aldridge’s third year as a third team All-NBA player (since 2010-11) while Lillard is the seventh player in Blazers history to receive an All-NBA Honor. The two together are also Portland’s first NBA All Star duo in over 20 years, following Bill Walton and Maurice Lucas in 1977.
