The popular Netflix television series, “House of Cards,” written by Beau Willimon, left its fans in shambles after concluding its immensely popular second season. Co-stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright began the year on a high note, respectively winning and getting nominated for the “Best Actor – Television Series Drama” award at the Golden Globes Awards. However, their exciting night did not stop there, as shortly after, a brief trailer (less than a minute in length) was released announcing the return of one of America’s favorite televised dramas.
Immediately after the release of this trailer, fans and media outlets alike jumped on the opportunity to discuss the future of this televised drama, majorly because of the hype generated by the announcement of a new season. According to Netflix, it cost nearly $100 million dollars to produce the two prior seasons. Based on the show’s revenue of over $1 billion dollars in the first quarter of 2013, things are looking good for the future of the “House of Cards” crew and Netflix alike.
As of now, not much is known about the events that will take place in the new season, but fans are excited to begin binging on “House of Cards” Season 3 come Feb. 27, 2015.
