Cream of the Crêpe

Imagine sitting at a small cafe in Paris, eating a crêpe and drinking a cup of coffee. Well now you can experience this beautiful scene a little bit closer to home at Cream of the Crêpe.

Located in the bustling Uptown area of Park Ridge, Illinois, Cream of the Crêpe offers a peaceful getaway from the busy and stressful times of life. Sitting down with a savory crêpe or a decadent dessert crêpe is a great way to relax on the weekends.

Their hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 9am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday 9 am-9pm, and Sunday 9am to 4pm.

Cream of the Crêpe prides itself on using fresh ingredients and imported Lavazza coffee to create the perfect crêpe experience. Also, the cafe carries homemade Italian ice and gelatos during the summer. The Italian ice and gelatos are the best way to cool off after a long summer day.

Additionally, many of their menu items include vegetables and fruits for a healthful eating experience. They also carry gluten-free crêpes for those with allergies or specific diets.

Their website boasts that they are the perfect place to relax and enjoy their homemade selections.

“Every ingredient is carefully inspected to meet our strict standards and high quality expectations,” it says. “You are cordially invited to sit back, relax and enjoy a home cooked meal prepared by our kitchen.”

I would recommend a sweet crêpe for your first experience at Cream of the Crêpe. My favorite is the Sweetheart, which is a crêpe with Nutella and strawberries. It is simple and delicious. At $6.25, this crêpe is affordable and perfect for a weekend night dessert.

I have also eaten the ham ‘n cheese crêpe which is another simple savory crêpe. Other patrons have eaten and loved the Vegetarian, Chicken Florentine, and Funky Monkey crêpes. Next time, I hope to order the S’mores crêpe with marshmallow, chocolate, and graham crackers.

If you are looking for a unique dining experience with a wide selection of fresh meals, Cream of the Crêpe is the perfect place for you.
